b'Uncounted: Wisconsin Election Integrity statewide coordinator and longtime election integrity advocate KAREN McKIM discusses new findings from new hand-counts of ballots from the November 2016 election. Conducted earlier this month, the citizen researchers found that in every precinct they examined, the ballot scanners used across the state failed to tally anywhere from 2% to 6% of ballots with valid presidential votes, in a state that Donald Trump is said have won by just 1% over Hillary Clinton \\u2013 just 27,000 votes out of some 3 million ballots cast. The same error-prone systems are still used in other states, such as Indiana, Massachusetts and Virginia, and may be used again in Wisconsin in the November 2018 mid-term elections. Underscoring the importance of election integrity are the other stories we cover today: North Korea launched another long-range missile that can reportedly reach Washington DC. GOP tax cuts for the wealthy and corporations move forward in the Senate. A Trump-appointed federal judge has decided in favor of Trump (and seemingly, against the rule of law) in an unprecedented battle for control of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.'
