b"Original airdate 11-15-2023. On today's 'BradCast':\\xa0 Donald Trump is still lying to his followers about climate change and renewable energy, but he's not the only Republican politician willing to lie on behalf of the fossil fuel industry (including all of the current GOP 2024 presidential candidates). But the facts of the climate crisis and accelerating impacts are undeniable. This week, the U.S. Government released the Fifth Annual Climate Assessment, a comprehensive report detailing how climate-intensified disasters are already affecting every county in the nation, costing the US on average $150 billion a year. The new Assessment is also hopeful, describing how communities are ramping up climate action, and the vast array of existing tools to cut pollution and build resilience. Also this week, the U.S. and China agreed to work together to displace fossil fuels by tripling renewable energy capacity by 2030. Plus new legislation introduced by three Senate Republicans offers a potential solution that could attract support from the fossil fuel-funded GOP: a carbon border adjustment tax on carbon-intensive products imported into the United States.\\xa0 DR. JESSICA MOERMAN, President and CEO of the Evangelical Environmental Network (EEN) and policy expert MATTHEW LEE explain the proposal, how it would work to lower emissions around the world and bring manufacturing jobs back to the U.S., and how evangelical Christians can engage in furthering 'our biblical mandate to care for God's Creation.'"
