'BradCast' 10/6/2020: (The Gaslighting Continues - But America Doesn't Seem to Be Buying It Anymore)
b"On today's BradCast: The corporate mainstream media are being played by Trump, they know it, and yet they still keep falling for it, enabling Trump in his gaslighting of Americans and helping him and the Republican Party spread lies and disinformation. Facebook has taken down at least one Trump lie regarding COVID-19 and the flu. New polls indicate Trump is receiving no 'sympathy bounce' from his coronavirus illness, that most Americans have no confidence in Trump's handling of the pandemic, and believe he has only himself to blame for his own infection. In the presidential race, new national polls following last week's disastrous debate show Joe Biden increasing his lead. Of course, we do not run national elections in this country, only state elections \\u2013 but Biden is leading or tied in many swing states and gaining in red states once thought out of reach for Democrats. Some House races in red states are also showing Democrats are increasingly competitive. Polling in Senate races in South Carolina and Kansas also show surprising shifts in Democrats' direction, which explains Republicans' all-out war to suppress mail-in voting in South Carolina and everywhere else. The stolen rightwing majority on the US Supreme Court helped the GOP, ruling that South Carolina must require that all absentee ballots include a witness' signature to be valid, even during a deadly pandemic, despite the fact that Republicans did not object when the requirement was waived during the primary.
