Bernie chats with St. Louis Post-Dispatch Blues beat writer Jim Thomas who joins the show from Charleston, SC where the Blues just completed a team retreat. Bernie first gets an early preview of the Army/Navy matchup from Jim. Jim offers up his preseason assessment of the Blues with the roster set for opening night as he thinks the Blues are about at the same level as last season. He thinks extra competition in the Western Conference could pose a challenge. Jim also cautions against expecting too much right away from Jake Neighbours as a 20-year-old and questions if the defense is strong and deep enough to sustain a solid performance over the course of the season.
