In this episode, Grey Jabesi sat down and interviewed Zachariah George. Zach is the Co-Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Startupbootcamp Africa \\u2013 the leading multi-corporate backed venture accelerator program in Africa. He is the founder of Cactus Advisors \\u2013 a specialist corporate finance advisory firm and micro VC fund specializing in high growth, high impact African tech ventures. Zach is a prominent Angel investor in several of Africa\\u2019s leading tech startups including\\xa0Flutterwave,\\xa0HouseME,\\xa0Recomed\\xa0and several others. He was featured on the cover of Fast Company South Africa in May 2018.

Zach was formerly the head of Africa Investments for U-Start \\u2013 the largest network of private Multi-Family offices in Europe. Prior to moving to South Africa, he was an investment banker on Wall Street covering mergers & acquisitions, corporate finance strategy and risk management at Lehman Brothers and Barclays Capital, New York.

Zach has a Master\\u2019s degree in Finance & Management from Stanford University and a Bachelor\\u2019s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology.

Outside of his professional life, Zach is a father to 3 children and is an acoustic guitarist/vocalist with cover albums \\u2018Give A Little\\u2019 (2010) and \\u2018Humans with Hearts\\u2019 (2018) on iTunes and Spotify.\\xa0He is an avid lover of theater and the performing arts likes hiking and a good game of tennis and squash. He enjoys creative writing and is currently busy finishing a work of non-fiction.
