Florida’s teacher’s union is not the only group asking Gov. Ron DeSantis to keep campuses closed until the start of the new school year. The Florida PTA and four different medical groups are making the same request.

— The first inmates have died of coronavirus in the state prison system. The Department of Corrections kept it quiet for more than a week, but the fatalities have been confirmed by the medical examiner.
