Jordan Meehan has the plan for progressives in Massachusetts
Today we’re talking to Jordan Meehan. I think of him as the “man with a plan” for progressives in Massachusetts. If you look at his website, he has these really well thought-out, comprehensive strategies on how to stabilize housing for renters, fix our transit system, and pursue equity and justice for marginalized groups, as well as a detailed, fresh look at what a Green New Deal in Massachusetts would mean. He’s running to guarantee people a safety net that has failed for some, and which others never had in the first place. His district, Allston, is a vibrant, young, artistic community on the west side of Boston. Like you’ll hear, it’s an area that has grown tremendously in the past decade but that growth combined with a lack of public investment has destabilized the living conditions of many of its residents.
