Billy has had a long and distinguished career in amateur and non league football gathering lots of trophies along the way, he has played for Bootle, Prescot Cables, & St Dominic's amongst others and went on to manage at Plessey's and Yorkshire Copper Tube and more recently at Nalgo FC in the Liverpool County FA. On a Sunday he was a player for the mighty Eagle FC who won the FA Sunday cup in 1984. That team later became Salerno who won 3 Liverpool County Premier ups on the spin in the mid 1990's.
