SFHM -055 Boomer Equestrians

Boomer Equestrians face many challenges as they age. Leaping into the saddle is no longer a reality. Boomers don't bounce when they hit the ground, as Roy Rogers said, they splatter. These realities don't lessen the love we have for horses and the desire to continue to ride.

The most inspiring video I've seen was the Schleese Saddle video of 93-year-old Elsa cantering around the ring on her horse. I watched the video a few weeks after my heart attack. Elsa's riding motivated me to get healthy,  continue to ride and fulfill my bucket list dream of camping with my horse. My intention for Boomer Equestrians is to share information that will help older riders stay safe and comfortable while interacting with horses.
