4: The Punt Return: Betting on the NFL - QB Injuries, Record Lines and Jalen Ramsey

Published: Sept. 19, 2019, 10:29 a.m.

Nick, James & Josh are back on deck at The Punt Return Podcast to look at Week 3 in the National Football League.

Opening the show discussing the plethora of injuries at quarterback and how that affects the power balance in the AFC & NFC, they then discuss the trade market for superstar cornerback, Jalen Ramsey, and the three most likely destinations for him.

Before jumping into Week 3, they recap their Week 2 betting results, with Josh going 3-0 ATS with his best bets, and Nick collecting yet again on his long shot with Buffalo delivering the goods and not scoring too many points in the process.

The boys open their week 3 analysis chatting about the two huge lines with Dallas -21.5 vs Miami and New England -22.5 vs New York. Since 1984, there have been seven NFL favorites of 20 or more points and every one of them has failed to cover the spread.

While discussing the game of the week between the Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs, the boys get giddy over Patrick Mahomes and what a special player he already is. James continues to pound the table for what the Buffalo Bills are building and does the complete opposite on Jon Gruden when discussing the Oakland Raiders.

Nick & Josh then have their weekly debate about the Houston Texans as they again take opposite sides in their matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers. The Los Angeles Rams travelling to the Cleveland Browns looked like a lock of the week for the show until James went contrarian and believes the Rams could be vulnerable this week on the road.

The show is, as always, wrapped up with the Lock of the Week, best bets, long shots and finally Darryl Data’s Stats Insider model’s strongest plays.
