I'm shuffling myself here for a minute as thought about the vehicle that got me to the grocery store, how it got me there, and it's gonna get me there to where I'm going next this week was a revelatory for me is there was a kind of some work experiences that caused me to do some reflection. And also recently read, listened to the Malcolm Gladwell book of what got you here won't get you there. And even coupling that with deadline of like this. The level of thinking, whatever you're thinking, you know, however you thought, Got You Here Won't Get You There. And I think that's somebody else. Someone noteworthy. So the things that made me successful in the past, right, kind of like just due diligence, go getter, and just go, go do what somebody asked, what's going to take me to the next level? Potentially, is asking more questions up front, clarifying and getting ahead of, you know, thinking I understand what somebody is sharing with me versus not. And I say that because my whole life has been a don't ask a ton of questions. I feel like I've got an understanding that sometimes it's a shortcoming. So that's part one, of, you know, kind of what got me here won't get me there. Right. And I've been successful at getting to where I've gotten to, now I need to get to the next space. And what has helped me along the way, has been just over the course of I think, the past four or five years, is understanding auditing my thinking, right, understanding what I'm thinking, being aware of the triggers, in my thinking, and kind of looking at them, reflecting on them, and just understanding whether or not they're for not even just my highest and best good, everybody's highest and best good, right? Not that I know what that is. But there's a I think if we if we give any credence to intuition, you know, we kind of follow our heart with that kind of thing, right? And I say that as I. It can be this simple, right? Well, first of all, breathwork is very helpful for this. Right? breathwork is super helpful for this and monitoring your breathing and where that's all right. So once you begin to put a pause into the automatic response of everything that it is that you do, you begin to realize that there are other options available that may be better suited to what it is that you're trying to accomplish with life or just How could your day be better. And I say that because the simple notion of this morning and I had an option, right of that again, this is also simple, but this is how deep your really thought processes go. The habit that I had this morning. Habitual automated life was I had my cup of first cup of coffee, a cup of coffee that I don't particularly love, but the habit is having a cup of coffee, so I had it. It's okay. Meg likes a dark roast. I don't like it so much. It's okay. As I ran out to the store to grab some bagels for breakfast. I was about to make a second cup of coffee because I have two cups of coffee. Right? That's my habit. Have two cups of coffee. And as I was getting ready to have the second cup of coffees is getting ready to make it I was like I don't even like that particular cup of coffee. Why don't I I know. Brilliant revelation. Why don't I just wait to go get the coffee that I actually like and have that when I get back?

Because our habits dictate a lot What we do, like, I think, people toss out numbers like 95% of what you do, right? It's just kind of, it's by rote. It's what you do every day, just automatic, the brain takes a lot of energy. But you pause for a second. You say, What am I doing? Realizing catch yourself in the motion? Of what you always do? You got to ask yourself, Is this still? What I want to be doing? Right? Like I said, at work, I was like, This is what got me here. What is it that I need to what is it? That that's no longer? It's no longer working from this role? What do I need to change? What needs to be changed? In this role? And look, meditation, you know, spiritual dope, right? Meditation comes into play, sit, relax, clear the mind. You know, set the prayer or meditate on what is it? That would serve me better in this in this space in place? And this time? Right? And the instance of why am I still drinking a cup of coffee that I don't even want? Right? separation between your your automated responses, and just pausing for a second. And again, breathwork will take a take a play with that, as you can pause and control your automatic everything for a moment. And it's just a simple thing. Again, why am I drinking this cup of coffee? If I don't like it? Can I? Can I wait 15 minutes, and, and sacrifice, that habitual response to have the thing that I actually like? And I think that the more that we can do that, the more that we can pay attention to those responses and begin to create new responses, the more that we can begin to create the life that we actually desire in a way that is, to quote, my favorite, one of my favorite authors for Florence. Scovel Shinn have have a life that is filled with ease with grace, and in divine ways. So yeah, short runs straight out to the coffee picking up the bagel will be like that. But I thought that I was sure that I also thought that I would share Hey, listen, what got me here isn't necessarily what's gonna get me here, there. It's not going to be what gets me there. And that doesn't mean like the ethic, the attitude and maybe, maybe all this, maybe the ethic and the attitude that got me here won't get me there. And those are some of the things that need to be revised. And I had to make that discernment that do I want the next thing and am I willing to do what's required to get there? All great questions. And these are things that I've wrestled with this is things that I use meditation for, these are things that I read for this are things that I do breath work for that that are all very helpful along the journey. Hopefully it's been helpful for you
