is going on spiritual dope, we\'re coming at you where we\'re coming from. We are, we are in Vail, Colorado today. And we\'re here for for business, we\'re here for work the day job. And I had spent, it\'s been quite the adventure, I should say, came out here to connect with a potential client, somebody we\'re working with, then really no set agenda was just kind of, Hey, get out there and see if you can connect and make something happen. And you don\'t have to tell me twice to go out to Colorado from Philadelphia to go ski and snowboard and and check things out. And it\'s been pretty interesting. And I think that there\'s been a couple of entertaining and enlightening moments for me that I thought that I might share with you. One of the one of those things is if you haven\'t gone snowboarding or skiing in the west coast and in Colorado, and also if you\'ve gone in 20 years or so your body may not, may not provide a welcoming response. So it\'s been entertaining to just see what a difference it\'s, it\'s taken on my body after a 20 year hiatus. The other piece is, you know, man, what\'s, what does success look like to you success looks like a lot of different things to a lot of different people. And this context for me, one of the pieces that look like success was purely getting to the bottom of the mountain, especially against since I hadn\'t been in so long as you know, didn\'t also recall exactly how to do it. I don\'t know if you ever saw the movie, the abyss. And we\'re going back I think to like, I don\'t know, maybe even the 80s. And there\'s a scene where these guys have to go down so deep into the water, that they have to breathe in liquid. And it\'s like embryonic fluid, right? And, and it\'s got oxygen or anything in it. And the line is, don\'t worry, your body will remember right, you know, you\'ll, you\'ll remember. And that was kind of what I was running with in this in this scenario, as well. So suffice to say I didn\'t make it down. That was huge success. And what I will say though, too, is you look, I made it down, I\'ve got all my limbs, and I\'m a fully functioning human. And we\'re here to support what is called the adaptive spirits event. And these are athletes, the Paralympics athletes, these are people who some people are blind going down these hills, missing limbs, no limbs, it\'s just really inspirational, to see what they\'re able to accomplish. And you know, on top of everything else, of being able to get to this event, and do it for work, to be able to participate in any event like this super meaningful, super inspirational. And really glad that I\'m able to have a job that allows for me to participate in something like that. Well, this actually, we\'re still taking a mini break as a as we\'re in between sessions. So success looks like getting to the bottom of the hill alive. For me this weekend. And you know, a couple other funny things that I thought that I that I may share with you is that I also know was using some rental board and bindings had never used before. Got to the top of the hill. I got somewhere I forget. And I literally didn\'t know how to take these things off the bindings, right? I\'d had no idea how to take them off. That was little I was like well maybe somebody should have showed me how to do that. And then I had to go boots I had no idea I didn\'t know how to take them off. Right these like I\'ve never seen these things before they twist right with like, like a ratchet type thing where they just keep twist and getting in tighten and tighten or. And I was like looking for like a release mechanism. I was like, Oh my God, my feet are stuck in these forever. There was like some mini drama in my head where I just saw like the

doctor couldn\'t figure out how to get these off and cut off my feet for some reason that would never happen. But that was the image that was in my mind. I think that we all know that sometimes our mind can get ahead of us and what else have And again, these are just kind of like little moments that just as you experience them, as you think about them, as you\'re going through them, you can get frustrated, right. And again, if we come from the space of, of believing that we\'re working with the universe is one, this is a benevolent universe, these things are being done for you, and that type of thing. And that\'s really the context that a lot of these things are occurring in for me. And one example of that, is that I took a bus from where I was in Vail to another section in Vail and the lady\'s like you\'re already where you\'re supposed to be. I was like, yeah, that doesn\'t make any sense, because I don\'t recognize where I\'m at. Right? But she was right. So I took a bus about a half hour away from where I was supposed to go, and had to wait a half hour to get back to where I\'d already left. So there were a couple of things in that for me, that I thought were kind of interesting. You know, sometimes, like the what were some of the thoughts that I had was, like, maybe, like, maybe you\'re already there, you just don\'t recognize it. Right? Because that was that was certainly my case, I was already where I was supposed to be. I just literally, I was not familiar with where I was. Right. And so that I thought was pretty interesting. And I had a chocolate myself for that. Because, you know, in spirituality and and all this seeking that I think gets done. Chances are, you\'re already where you\'re supposed to be. But there\'s like this egoic thing that just pushes and pushes and says, No, that\'s not right. This isn\'t right was we\'re supposed to be and this is, this is what\'s supposed to be happening. But I was already where I supposed to be. And I spent about an hour getting back to where I already was. So bring that up, because there was a stint in my 20s, early 20s. So actually 19 and 20, where I connect to myself spirituality, my spirituality then, but I shut the door, right. And when I hit it again, right around 40, I was like, oh my god, this is like so familiar. And I remembered how there was like this window of connected ness and opportunity. And I felt like the the calling, then. But instead, you know, I spent 20 years getting back to where I already was, thought I\'d share that one with you. And then this will be the last one that I go ahead and share with you one of the clients that I was trying to connect with. He has really like it\'s kind of like a needle in the haystack. Right? And we hadn\'t had much communication and this was, this was kind of a calculated risk. As it were, you know, go see if you can connect, okay, there\'s plenty of people out there, we haven\'t really done much and and you\'re flying solo, which was also just kind of interesting. And so we went looking connect and send emails, contacts. And I started to feel like this kind of like desperation, stalkers, energy has, like, I\'m just not, I\'m not digging this, right. Like, I definitely want to do the job and do the work and do what it is I\'m supposed to do. But I want to come at this from a place of love of service. And really, how can I help, you know, share what it is I have to offer for your best benefit. Not Hey, I\'m here, I\'m here jumping around, right? Pay attention to me. It\'s like Alright, let\'s get together. Let\'s go do something. And, and, you know, I wanted to get to know this this person as a person, right? And so I just said, You know what, I couldn\'t I couldn\'t locate him, couldn\'t find him poked around a bit searched. And I was like, You know what? Fuck it. I\'m out. Like it\'s not worth like this. This desperation, energy and feeling this way. And the moment within minutes, within minutes.

The my client, you know, a person had reached out, reached out he says, Hey, Brian, and let\'s, let\'s, let\'s get to we don\'t have much time. I can get together for breakfast tomorrow. So you know what, I\'ll take it we\'ll get together. People have been talking about a great place for practice. I said, let\'s meet this place for breakfast and connect. And so we did. And things went very well. We had a great conversation. He invited me along to go skiing with him and a few of his other buddies. He was a great skier. Me not so much. But I spent some time with him on the slopes too. So I think that it went better. And if we wrap all the way back around the beginning, this is what a success look like to you went better than I had anticipated, got to spend some time some real quality time with him and at an awesome event, participating in an awesome event, and meeting other great and great cool people, some people that I\'ve never that I\'ve met, that I\'ve known and worked with online and never got the chance to meet in person so that that happened. But let me let me slice and dissect a couple of these things. Right. Like, again, the universe is working with you, right. And I\'ve been trying to force it is kind of what the takeaway was. And the that desperation, energy, right has had all this energy in front of me blocking what the blocking what the universe was going was doing with ease, right. So I thought I\'d share some of those takeaways, as I\'m on this trip away from my family missing my family and, you know, hopefully next time I do a trip like this, they\'ll be able to make it that was the other cool thing about this event. People brought their families along with them and got the chance to meet other people\'s kids. And so, just a great event. Those are some takeaways from from where I\'m at. I believe I\'m looking at you know, starting to rerelease some podcasts here shortly with not rerelease but start releasing some interviews here shortly. And I think that there\'s a lot that you will enjoy in that. So be on the lookout for that. And as always, hope you\'ve enjoyed your hit of spiritual dope.
