Speaking of Browns dysfunction, and we were on Monday, we talked about how hard it is to keep track of all of it and, wouldn\'t you know, we forgot something.

\\n\\n

The Browns would be in the playoffs if only they could have beaten, uh, who were those guys?

\\n\\n

The Bengals went back to Andy Dalton, and it\'s a good thing.

\\n\\n

Better chance the Bengals beat the Browns or better chance Wisconsin comes within 10 of Ohio State?

Faith corner hits on the parables of Jesus, which have multiple levels of wisdom, depending on how deeply you dig. Remember, spending time daily to learn more about God and His plan for your life is the only investment that yields an eternally-secure retirement. An easy way to read the Bible is to get a version with Jesus\' words in red print. Start with that in the books of Matthew, Mark or Luke. That way, you get your wisdom and direction straight from the Savior. Let Him speak directly to you. Temptation is not sin. Temptation is an attack from Satan meant to draw you farther away from God. The good news is, if you have accepted Christ, you have the Holy Spirit\'s power within you, and part of the benefit of that is you\'re given the promise of 1 Cor. 10:13 that "God is faithful, he will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able to bear." Chris makes the point that every time he has made a decision rooted in the Spirit\'s leading, he bats 1.000. All of our batting averages plunge when we act on our own impulses, apart from the Holy Spirit\'s power.

When you ask people if there\'s anything you can do to help, really be ready to commit to helping them.

\\n\\n

And when someone asks to do something for you, grant them the blessing of allowing them to serve you and graciously accept the gift of their kindness. It gives you a blessing, by lightening your burden, and it gives them a blessing from being obedient to God\'s call that they lend a hand.
