The brainchild of a psychologist,\\xa0Wonder\\xa0Woman\\xa0hit the comic pages in the 1940s as an antidote to the \\u201cbloodcurdling masculinity\\u201d of male superheroes. But by the early \\u201870s,\\xa0Wonder\\xa0Woman\\xa0was having a midlife crisis. She\\u2019d given up her bullet-blocking bracelets and lasso of truth\\u2026and opened a clothing boutique. It took a feminist magazine cover to make-over\\xa0Wonder\\xa0Woman\\xa0from comic book character to the icon she remains today.\\xa0
