Many of us apologize several times a day without really knowing what we\\u2019re trying to convey with the apology.

\\n

For those of us with histories of childhood trauma, we might apologize for the way we feel; for expressing our emotions; or even for stating our needs.

\\n

Sadly, for all of us who do these things, we\\u2019ve been doing the apology thing all wrong!

The good news is that you can use the act of apology as an opportunity to practice mindful presence, empathy, and compassion (for yourself as well!)
