I love this quote as much for its wonderful humor as for its wisdom and brilliance.

Because of the historical subcontext within which many people in our lives hold us, as we change through the practice of Mindfulness and Compassion exercises, those around us don’t always see our change and, when they treat us as ‘the same old us’, it can be triggering.

Like majorly triggering!

In today’s episode, I describe this phenomenon as a series of concentric rings that represent the depth and longevity of our personal relationships:

As you move through this journey to the well-being and happiness that will help you thrive in your life, having someone close to you, who knows the work you’re doing, can be very helpful.

Whether a dharma (Meditation) center, a friend or two, a spouse, or even a coach; having someone in your life who can reflect the practice and its impact is key to your success in making the changes you’re trying to make.

So if you’re curious as to what meeting with a coach is like - and it’s probably not what you think it is! - here is a chance to experience a coaching session for free.
