EP 489: Why we Worry

The first thing I want to point out today - and this is super important - is that your tendencies towards whatever emotional reactivity you experience is not your fault.

The same applies to your worrying mind.

\\n

It\\u2019s not your fault.

\\n

Just like the rest of the programming, we undergo through those first seven or so years of our life, the worrying and emotional reactivity are learned responses over which you have had little or no control throughout your life.

\\n

Yes, you have personal agency and free will.

\\n

So, in a sense, you could say that whether or not you choose to use the knowledge and tools to change these aspects of your personality from this point forward is on you.

\\n

But before you learned about any of this, none of it was your fault.

\\n
