EP 483: Don't Hurry, Be Happy

Published: April 8, 2021, 5:52 p.m.

Between stimulus and response, there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.

This quote is so important to me!!!

\n

Back when I struggled with chronic stress, one of the strongest effects on me was the feeling that I never had enough time, no matter the circumstances.

\n

Even when I was on vacation, I felt like I always had to rush through everything.

\n

Back then, I saw life as just something that I needed to get through. Something I needed to survive.

\n

When I discovered mindfulness practices, I learned one of the most valuable lessons of my life and a lesson I share with each and every person I teach: I learned to pause.

\n

And in cultivating the skill of the pause, everything slowed down and time actually seemed to expand!

\n

And of course, I found the time for my own happiness and well being.

\n

But this doesn\u2019t mean that I never have to hurry or rush!

\n

In today\u2019s episode I talk about moving quickly with mindfulness:
