EP 452: How to Show up, no Matter How You Might Feel

But I also talked about an important aspect of our daily lives that I illustrated through a personal story and the story I\\u2019d hear told by a Rock and Roll Legend!

Life has its ups and downs, and so do our bodies.

\\n

And in our down cycles and rhythms, our energy wanes.

\\n

In these times, it\\u2019s very enticing to want to pull the covers over our heads and just take the day off.

\\n

While the occasional day off for physical or mental care is very legitimate and will feel good in the short term, showing up anyway is also very important.

\\n

Because life is waiting for us out there.

\\n

When we show up in spite of our energy level, we open the potential for greatness.

\\n

I shared a story about genius I\\u2019d heard in a TED Talk, and that\\u2019s pasted below for you as well.

\\n

But the thing is that none of us know when genius will show up and, as per my story and the story of that Rock and Roller, it doesn\\u2019t necessarily show up when it feels like it will.

\\n

That is to say that your energy and how you feel on any given day does not determine how you impact the world around you.

\\n

So if we show up in spite of our low energy, we just might change someone\\u2019s life in spite of ourselves.
