I know I talk a great deal about Self-Compassion, but I’m doing it again today!

In fact, I could easily talk about Self-Compassion every day and never cover anything else and you would still get just as much benefit!

Self-Compassion is that important.

And I bring it up again today because Self-Compassion is especially important when we are trying to learn something new… like, say… mindfulness practices.

But seriously, any time we are trying to develop a new skill, we must commit to the process of practice if we want to reach our desired goal.

And this is true of every single skill you’ve ever developed in your life!

Riding a bike, writing, walking, playing a musical instrument.

Practice, practice, practice, practice.

But here’s the thing:

Most of these skills you’ve accumulated in your life were learned at a very young age before you practiced the skill of talking to yourself harshly and without support and compassion.

And that is a major reason why most adults don’t learn new things!

We get a little way into it, we fail somehow, and because of the harsh and unfairly critical inner talk, we give up.

So now, as you are trying to develop this new skill of mindfulness, which will provide you with the tools you need to grasp your true happiness, I’m asking you to be kind to yourself.

At the end of today’s video, I provide a very simple practice that will shift this inner dialogue within a few weeks.

But this is also a skill and needs to be practiced.

Please let me know if there is any way I can support you.
