Our emotions motivate just about every action we take in our lives.

Any time you are motivated towards what you love or away from what you feel, you have your emotions to thank for it.

\\n

For this reason, one of the most valuable skills we can possess is the skill of self regulation.

\\n

Self regulation, in the face of our emotions, allows us to be present and therefore happy.

\\n

And self regulation, in the face of our emotions, allows us to make decisions and take actions that work toward - and not against - our benefit.

\\n

When we look at it like this, it is easy to see why self regulation is such a valuable skill!

\\n

More importantly, though, because self regulation is a skill, it is trainable.

\\n
