EP 365: How to Develop The Skill of Well Being

This is how the world-renown neuroscientist, Richie Davidson, opened a wonderful talk I just watched for the umpteenth time (link in the comments).

\\n

What he\\u2019s saying here is that through practice, well being can be developed in the very same way any other skill can be.

\\n

And the thing is, we are always practicing one way or another in our lives.

\\n

If we are consistently looking at the negative aspects of our lives, we are practicing negativity.

\\n

If we allow our mind to wander consistently, we are practicing mind wandering.

\\n

The bottom line is that we are either building the skill of well being.

\\n

Or we are building the skill of taking ourselves away from well being.

\\n

So what are you practicing today?

\\n

And is it moving you closer to or further from well being.

\\n
