One of the most common sources of the stress response is the unwillingness to forgive ourselves or others.

Most of us think that offering forgiveness gives license to whoever has done something to hurt us.

\\n

But forgiveness is much more for ourselves than it is for others.

\\n

This is because unforgiveness has the same physical effect on us as the stress response.

\\n

So I invite you to see if offering forgiveness to yourself or others gives you a sense of calm. Try it out!

A great way to facilitate this for yourself is to reframe the way you see someone\\u2019s motives.
