In any area of our lives - as parents or children, employer or employee, or in the most anonymous interactions in our daily lives - we are communicating.

\\nCommunication is how we get what we need and request what we desire.
\\n
\\nIt is how we express our love.
\\n
\\nSo it stands to reason that of all the applications of mindfulness practices, mindful communication could be the most vital.
\\n
\\nThe very word communication is derived from the word commune - to come together.
\\n
\\nAs we bring non judging awareness to our words, our tone, facial and body expressions, we can see when we are pushing people away.
\\n
\\nAnd when we can see this, we can choose to instead draw them in.
\\n
\\nWith practice, we are also able to develop empathy so we know how our verbal and physical expressions make others feel.
\\n
\\nThis last point couldn\\u2019t be more vital to us as parents!!!
