EP 294: A Mindful Parent Is Compassionately Curious (And Psychologists All Say This Is A Good Thing)

Mindful parenting is based on connection and attachment between the parent and the child(ren).

\\nAnd this connection comes through a degree of presence, acceptance, and compassion.
\\n
\\nWhen I say acceptance, I don\\u2019t mean that you\\u2019re not going to get your children to clean their rooms, or eat their vegetables, or go to bed at a reasonable hour.
\\n
\\nWhen I say accept these behaviors in your children, I mean that you allow yourself to see past the behavior itself and maintain a deeper emotional attachment in spite of the fear you feel.
\\n
\\nWhen you do this, you\\u2019ll find that the behavior starts to change on its own.
\\n
