“I wish you well.”

If you watch my videos, listen to my podcast, or receive emails from me, you hear me say “I wish you well.”

It is sincere and heartfelt.

But it’s also a practice for me.

In contemplative work, we do two different types of practice:

Formal practice - sitting in posture and meditating.

Informal practice - adding the practice to our daily activities.

For me, sending an email or making a video is a perfect opportunity for this informal practice.

Before hitting send, I take a moment and picture the person reading the email or the post or watching/listening to the content, and I feel this compassion in my heart.

You can do this with virtually any activity:

Driving your car, answering the phone, sitting in meetings, standing in line at a grocery store... believe it or not, you can even do it while folding laundry!

And as you do this practice over and over, it becomes an automatic trait for you to ALWAYS feel compassion for others.

And once you do this, like so many of my clients have, things will change in profound ways in your life.
