b'Stress is ALWAYS caused by fear.\\n\\nFear CAN be a present, physical fear, such as the fear a zebra feels as she\\u2019s fleeing a hungry lion. \\n\\nAnd the stress response to the fear in the zebras body is EXACTLY the same as the stress response in your body. \\n\\nBut most people in modern society don\\u2019t encounter present fears like a zebra and a hungry lion do. \\n\\nInstead, our fears are based on our thoughts - usually thoughts of some future outcome over which we have little or no control. \\n\\nYet, 77% of us manage to feel chronic stress - imagine a poor zebra being chased by a hungry lion EVERY SINGLE DAY. \\n\\nSo the key to being like a zebra and only feeling that stress when it\\u2019s really necessary, is to be present. \\n\\nIf you\\u2019d like some simple exercises to develop the habit of presence, (so you don\\u2019t have to remember) drop a comment below or send me a DM. \\n\\n #presence #mindfulness #bodyandmind #lettinggo #stressreduction #acceptance #healthyhabits'
