Appreciation

If I went back in history Kings and queens or people in power demanded respect and adoration through words, bowing, and appreciation for who they are, and what they represented as a whole. Even in the Bible God wanted praise. Praise and adoration is something that goes down in history, so why shouldn't it be fiting for a relationship whether personal or interpersonal.
