Published: Nov. 3, 2020, 5 a.m.

Leader. Wife. Mother. Friend. Poet. Mentor. Human. Shannon Moyer-Szemenyei is a believer in fundamental rights, standing up for oneself and being a kind and compassionate human being, leaving a positive impact wherever possible. Shannon lives with her family in London, Ontario and, when not writing or nurturing others, you can find her at the hockey rink or horse barn with her boys, or cuddled on the couch with her rescue dog, Berney.

In today’s episode, Shannon shares:

  • Her story of being diagnosed with PTSD, and her journey of healing her wounds.
  • How being vulnerable and leaning into her fears is helping herself and now others heal their childhood trauma
  • A description of EMDR, the modality that most helped Shannon heal her trauma of being a survivor of sexual assault as a child.

Shannon’s episode today is filled with vulnerabilty and bravery.  She speaks about how leaning into her fears and being vulnerable, open, & honest has helped her begin to heal her trauma.  Her words are inspiring, uplifting, and healing.  If you would like to connect with Shannon online, you can find her at  www.moyerandco.com and over on Instagram at www.instagram.com/moyer_and_com
