096 The One That Helps Introverts

Well, Kermit the Frog said It\\u2019s not easy being green, but it\\u2019s not easy being introverted either.\\xa0 It may be hard for the Scaling UP! Nation! To\\xa0believe, but\\xa0introducing myself in a crowdy room doesn\\u2019t\\xa0come naturally for me.\\xa0 Through the years I have been able to work of a few tricks that I do to help in this situation.\\xa0 I have also found that getting started is the hardest part for me.\\xa0 Once I get started,\\xa0I\'m OK.\\xa0

A family friend of mine, Donna Srader of The Texas Tech University Career Center has written a webinar series on this very issue.\\xa0 As you will find from this interview, there are many different levels of introversion and introversion does not mean shy.\\xa0 Even though many think\\xa0that it does.\\xa0 It is my hope that you can take several items from my interview with Donna that will help you get out there and meet people.\\xa0

As an introvert,\\xa0Donna Srader\\xa0has excelled in a career that has \\u201cclients\\u201d come to her! As\\xa0a lead counselor at the Texas Tech University Career Center,\\xa0Donna has counseled, advised, and coached countless numbers of students\\xa0and some alumni\\xa0through the job search process. In addition, she has advised students\\xa0through her service in the Texas Tech College of Engineering and Honors College as well as at the University of Texas at Dallas. She is an active member of several professional organizations, including SOACE and the National Career Development Association, although she freely admits that she is working to better her networking skills!\\xa0Also, if you have read this far,\\xa0Donna\\xa0would like you to know that she has singlehandedly prevented the zombie apocalypse.
