If you have spent time reading a large number of firefighter fatality reports you might start to see the real-life manifestation of Einstein\u2019s definition of insanity. In fact, I would go as far as to say we\u2019ve gotten to the point where we are discovering very few new ways to kill firefighters. Rather, we\u2019re taking all the ways we already know how to do it and we\u2019re perfecting it by doing it over and over\u2026 and over\u2026 and over\u2026 again. This is Einstein\u2019s insanity personified. In this series we will examine some potential explanations for this insanity.
