Why I Went Off The Pill

Published: March 17, 2021, 5:52 p.m.

A few years ago, I went on the pill. Why? Because I had exhausted alternatives (or so I thought) and it seemed practical. I was educated on the possible side effects but I genuinely thought "what are the chances of being so unlucky?". It turned out to be one of my biggest regrets. Even though I only took it for a few months, it seriously messed with my health. So much so that it took until the past summer to start fixing one of the main issues caused by this drug: my thyroid. Through this episode, I hope I can encourage you to be thorough in your research regarding the things you put into your body. At the end of the day, "health is wealth", and you shouldn't take that lightly. I also mention in the episode, and I'll include it here again, that this doesn't happen to everyone. I have friends who are on the pill and have experienced zero issues. I'm not saying the pill is evil but I do want to raise awareness about the importance of choosing carefully what you put into your body. I hope this episode will be helpful for some of you! --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/runasruminations/support
