Waikato University has lost 1200 foreign students this year but it's gained more than 700 local students. The university is forecasting a deficit off the back of the figures but the vice-chancellor of Waikato University, Neil Quigley, told RNZ education correspondent, John Gerritsen, the increase in domestic students is much bigger than expected.
