University Entrance would have dropped significantly last year without NCEA extra credits - National

The National Party says University Entrance pass rates for 2020 were at serious risk of a dramatic fall because of Covid-19. Education spokesperson Paul Goldsmith says the Qualifications Authority has admitted the rates would have "fallen off the cliff" without the granting of extra NCEA credits for students. He says this proves the impact of lockdowns on students is dire. Goldsmith spoke to Corin Dann.
