Negative of iconic Michael Joseph Savage photo found

Te Papa has found the original negative of one of the country's most famous photographs. The black and white image of the "gently smiling" 1930s Labour Prime Minister Michael Joseph Savage was taken by Spencer Digby studio in Wellington in March 1936. The negative was found by Te Papa's curator of photography, Athol McCredie. He speaks to Susie Ferguson.
