Initial Ihumātao deal expected to go to Cabinet

There's been a major breakthrough towards resolving the standoff over Ihumātao, with an initial deal expected to go to Cabinet on Monday. It's been well over a year since protesters flocked to the disputed land in South Auckland in July 2019.  People occupying the site had been served with eviction notices and the protesters came out in support - bringing Flectcher Building's plans to build 480 houses to a halt. Since then there have been extensive negotiations to try to find a resolution, but there was staunch political opposition in the form of New Zealand First. The game changer was the October election result and that party no longer in Parliament, or around the Cabinet table. Political editor Jane Patterson speaks to Susie Ferguson.
