Coastal Otago locals worried ahead of public meeting on lead in the water

Residents of Waikouaiti and Karitane say they are nervous and scared for their families after testing revealed water levels for lead were at times found to be 40 times the safe amount. That level of contamination is 10 times worse than Dunedin City Council originally claimed earlier this week. The medical officer of health will be at a public meeting tonight and the Ministry of Health is offering blood testing from next week.
