The minister leading the government's response to the Christchurch mosque attacks says it doesn't have the power to tell ACC to help those who witnessed the shootings. The Government has promised $1million to help Muslims scrutinise its response to the Royal Commission of Inquiry into the massacre. The inquiry's report recommends the Government should direct the Accident Compensation Corporation to support the witnesses, who don't qualify for its support like those with physical injuries. The Lead Coordination Minister for the Government's response to the commission, Andrew Little, told Morning Report changing the law governing ACC would need to be done permanently for everyone, not just those affected by the mosque attacks.
