Mallard sends Waititi from House over tie rule

Parliament has had an eventful start to the year, with one party leader booted from the house and the Speaker staving off a motion of no confidence. The debate on wearing ties at Parliament has been reignited with Māori Party co-leader Rawiri Waititi told to leave the house after he refused to wear a tie. And National is promising to keep pressure on the Speaker over his false claim a rapist was working at Parliament. Our political reporter Charlie Dreaver filed this report.
