Covid-19 derails City Rail Link's 2024 planned completion

The head of Auckland's $4.4 billion City Rail Link says he is unable to give a firm finish date for the project, due to the uncertainty created by Covid-19. Dr Sean Sweeney says delays getting resources through Ports of Auckland and border closures have made the project even more difficult. And to keep things ticking over, Sweeney says City Rail Link Ltd needs a large number of international workers to be allowed through the border this year.
