US passes huge aid packages without $15 min wage provision

We begin this morning in the United States, where the Senate has finally passed Joe Biden's $1.9 trillion pandemic aid plan. The scheme, one of the largest emergency aid packages in the country's history, will provide direct payments of up to $1,400 to most Americans and also extend federal unemployment benefits, while pouring money into vaccine distribution and testing.
