Sumner surf lifesavers recognised for rescuing 27 people in 10 minutes

For some, summer is all about relaxation, but for lifeguards across the country this is the busiest time of the year. So busy that sometimes a day on patrol means saving 27 people in 10 minutes. That's what happened on Sumner beach in December - and the Surf Lifesaving crew there have won an award for their efforts. Kate Suter is part of the Sumner Surf Lifesaving Club.
