Students avoiding Wellington universities due to high rents
The Victoria University Students' Association is hearing that some students are finding Wellington rents so expensive, they're enrolling in provincial universities instead. Today, TradeMe released its figures for January, showing that median rents in the capital city have reached a national record of $615 a week. The Victoria University Students Association president, Michael Turnbull, spoke to Emma Hatton.
