Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine purchase agreement signed
The Government has pre-ordered enough Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine doses to guarantee that every New Zealander can be vaccinated against Covid-19. An advanced purchase agreement has been signed for another 8.5 million doses. New Zealand has already received 1.5 million doses and at two doses each that covers 750,000 New Zealanders so far. On Wednesday we'll find out how soon we may receive a Covid-19 vaccine. Vaccinologist Dr Helen Petousis-Harris explains how the roll-out will work.
