Covid-19: Far North District Mayor supports iwi checkpoints, wants to call them 'information centres'

As news develops about the two new cases of Covid-19, Aucklanders face questions over their long holiday weekend. It's Auckland Anniversary weekend and thousands usually leave the city, many heading north. Worried about this influx, Te Tai Tokerau is setting up a community checkpoint in Northland this morning, aiming to stop cars and share public health information.
