Community checkpoints 'a positive thing' - Far North Mayor

Police say there is no need for roadside Covid-19 checkpoints in Northland but mana whenua are pushing ahead with them.  Te Tai Tokerau is expecting an influx of Aucklanders ahead of the long weekend and some people are nervous after a local woman got the South Africa strain from another person in MIQ - but released after initially testing negative. Far North Mayor John Carter tells Lisa Owen it is a positive move.
