Team New Zealand are now two races up on Luna Rossa after winning both of yesterday's races on the Waitemata Harbour to take a 5 - 3 lead. The first syndicate to win 7 races will take the world's oldest sporting trophy. Team New Zealand ran away in race one, but Luna Rossa took advantage of the black boat coming off its foils just as it looked to overtake the Italian boat. Luna Rossa soon had foiling issues of its own though, with Peter Burling's boat coming back from 2 kilometres behind to overtake the Italians and win the second race of the day. Just after the race Peter Burling's mum, Heather, told our producer Matthew Theunissen that it was not an easy watch. Nathan Rarere then spoke with yachting commentator Tom Ehman.
