Bidding wars, no cause evictions out the door as new tenancy rules come into effect
Powerful new tenancy regulations sweep into effect today, which advocates say will shift the balance of power between landlord and tenant. Gone is the ability for landlords to encourage bidding wars or end tenancies with no reason. In comes rules which make it easier for renters to decorate their homes. But while one renter says it's not nearly enough, the Property Investors Federation says it is time to press pause on any more new laws. Harry Lock reports
