Pharr EDC hosts free workshops for aspiring business owners

PHARR, RGV - Pharr Economic Development Corporation and UT-Rio Grande Valley\\u2019s Small Business Development Center recently held free workshops for aspiring business owners.\\xa0
At the workshops - one in English, one in Spanish - attendees were provided with information on the steps necessary for a smart start to owning a business.
The workshops featured brainstorming a business idea, determining potential customers, reviewing one\\u2019s financial position, developing a concrete plan of action, and accessing helpful resources.\\xa0
The workshops were presented by a Certified Business Advisor with the SBDC.
Karina Lopez, business retention and expansion manager at Pharr EDC spoke to Rio Grande Guardian reporter Steve Taylor about the workshops.
