MOU signed between Texas and Coahuila

AUSTIN, Texas - Texas Governor Greg Abbott and with Coahuila Governor Miguel \\xc1ngel Riquelme Sol\\xeds met at the state Capitol in Austin to sign a Memorandum of Understanding between their states.

The agreement aims to enhance border security measures in order to prevent undocumented immigration and drugs from crossing Coahuila into Texas and improve the flow of traffic across the bridges between Coahuila and Texas.

The agreement goes into effect immediately.

Under the agreement, Coahuila will increase inspections of trucks crossing into Texas. As a result, the Texas Department of Public Safety will no longer inspect all the trucks coming into Texas from Coahuila.
